These golden, crispy prosciutto balls are a perfect blend of creamy cheese, savory prosciutto, and a light crunchy coating. Ideal for parties, holiday spreads, or as a decadent snack, they’re irresistibly rich and flavorful.

Crispy Prosciutto Balls
Ingredients (Servings: 18–20 balls)
  • 1 cup ricotta cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 4 ounces prosciutto, finely chopped
  • 4 ounces salami, finely chopped
  • 4 ounces ham, finely chopped
  • 4 ounces soppressata, finely chopped
  • 1 cup plain breadcrumbs
  • 2 large eggs, beaten
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • ½ teaspoon salt (optional, adjust to taste)
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • Vegetable oil, for frying

Instructions

1️⃣ Prepare the mixture:
In a large bowl, combine ricotta, mozzarella, Parmesan, chopped meats, garlic powder, black pepper, and salt. Mix until well blended.

2️⃣ Shape the balls:
Using your hands or a small scoop, form the mixture into 1-inch balls. Place them on a parchment-lined tray.

3️⃣ Set up the breading station:
Place flour in one shallow dish, beaten eggs in another, and breadcrumbs in a third. Roll each ball in flour, then dip in egg, and finally coat in breadcrumbs.

4️⃣ Chill the balls:
Refrigerate the coated balls for at least 30 minutes. This helps them hold their shape while frying.

5️⃣ Heat the oil:
In a deep skillet or pot, heat about 2 inches of vegetable oil to 350°F (175°C).

6️⃣ Fry until golden:
Fry the prosciutto balls in batches for 2–3 minutes, turning occasionally, until they are golden brown. Remove with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels.

7️⃣ Serve hot:
Serve warm with marinara sauce for dipping, or enjoy them on their own.
