Tiramisu is the ultimate Italian dessert, with alternating layers of ladyfingers soaked in espresso, creamy mascarpone, and a dusting of cocoa powder for a rich, indulgent treat. Ingredients:
For the Creamy Filling:
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup mascarpone cheese
  • 1/3 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
For the Coffee-Soaked Layers:
  • 1 1/2 cups espresso or strong brewed coffee, cooled
  • 2 tablespoons coffee liqueur (optional)
  • 24 ladyfinger cookies (Savoiardi)
For Topping:
  • Unsweetened cocoa powder for dusting
  • Dark chocolate shavings (optional)

Instructions:
1. Prepare the Cream Mixture
  • In a large mixing bowl, whisk heavy cream until soft peaks form.
  • Add mascarpone cheese, sugar, and vanilla extract and mix until fluffy and smooth.
2. Prepare the Coffee Mixture
  • Combine cooled espresso with coffee liqueur (if using) in a shallow bowl.
  • Quickly dip each ladyfinger into the coffee mixture for 1–2 seconds on both sides. Don’t over-soak to prevent sogginess.
3. Assemble the Tiramisu
  • In a baking dish, a layer of soaked ladyfingers.
  • Evenly spread half of the mascarpone cream mixture over the ladyfingers.
  • Repeat with a second layer of soaked ladyfingers and remaining mascarpone mixture.
4. Chill & Serve
  • Refrigerate, covered, for at least 4 hours (overnight for the best results).
  • Dust the surface with cocoa powder and chocolate shavings, if desired, before serving.
