Decadent Lobster Cheesecake – A Savory Showstopper with Coastal Elegance

Lobster cheesecake is an upscale, savory twist on the classic dessert — blending rich cream cheese, succulent lobster meat, and aromatic herbs into a silky, unforgettable appetizer. 🧀 Ingredients (Servings: 8–10 slices)

For the Crust:

  • 1½ cups crushed butter crackers (like Ritz or Club)
  • 6 tablespoons melted butter
  • 1 tablespoon grated Parmesan cheese

For the Filling:

  • 16 oz cream cheese, softened
  • ½ cup sour cream
  • 3 large eggs
  • ½ cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup cooked lobster meat, chopped
  • 1 cup grated Gruyère or smoked Gouda cheese
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon Old Bay seasoning
  • 2 green onions, finely chopped
  • ½ Yellow Bell Pepper, finely chopped
  • ½ Red Bell Pepper, finely chopped
  • 2 tablespoons fresh chives or parsley, chopped
  • Salt and pepper to taste

1️⃣ Prepare the Crust:
🧈 Preheat oven to 325°F. In a bowl, mix crushed crackers with melted butter and Parmesan until moistened. Press into the bottom of a greased 9-inch springform pan. Bake for 10 minutes, then let cool.

2️⃣ Make the Filling:
🦞 In a large bowl, beat the cream cheese until smooth. Add sour cream, eggs, and heavy cream one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in lemon juice, Old Bay, Gruyère, green onions, bell peppers and chopped lobster. Season with salt and pepper.

🔥 Pour filling into the crust and smooth the top. Bake for 50–60 minutes, or until the center is just set. Let cool completely, then refrigerate at least 4 hours (or overnight) for best texture.

🌿 Carefully remove the cheesecake from the springform pan. Slice and serve chilled or at room temperature, garnished with fresh herbs or a dollop of crème fraîche. Pairs beautifully with crostini, crackers, or cucumber slices.
