🧂 Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1 shallot or small onion, finely chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 8 oz cremini or baby bella mushrooms, sliced
  • 4 oz prosciutto, thinly sliced and chopped
  • 1/2 cup dry white wine
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
  • Optional: pinch of red pepper flakes

Sauté the Base:
In a large skillet over medium heat, heat the olive oil and butter. Add the shallot and cook until soft and translucent, about 3 minutes. Stir in the garlic and cook for 1 minute until fragrant.

Add Mushrooms and Prosciutto:
Toss in the sliced mushrooms and sauté until golden brown and tender, about 6–8 minutes. Add the chopped prosciutto and cook for another 2–3 minutes until slightly crispy.

Deglaze and Simmer:
Pour in the white wine and scrape up any bits from the pan. Let it reduce by half, then lower the heat and stir in the cream. Simmer gently for 5–7 minutes until thickened.

Finish the Sauce:
Add Parmesan cheese and stir until melted and creamy. Season with salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes (if using). Toss with hot cooked pasta or spoon over protein of choice.

Garnish & Serve:
Top with chopped parsley and extra cheese if desired.
