Homemade Ginger Ale: Zesty, Fizzy, and Fresh

Skip the store-bought stuff and make your own ginger ale at home! This easy recipe blends fresh ginger, lemon, and just the right amount of sweetness for a clean, natural soda that’s way better than canned. Plus, you control the spice level!


Homemade Ginger Ale: Zesty, Fizzy, and Fresh
🍋 Ingredients (Serves 2)
  • 1 cup fresh ginger, peeled and thinly sliced
  • 2 cups water
  • 1 cup granulated sugar (adjust to taste)
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • Club soda or sparkling water (to top off)
  • Ice and lemon slices for serving

🔥 Instructions

Make the Ginger Syrup: In a small saucepan, combine sliced ginger, water, and sugar. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 10–15 minutes until fragrant and slightly thickened.

Strain and Cool: Remove from heat and strain out the ginger slices. Let the syrup cool to room temperature, then stir in the lemon juice.

Assemble the Drink: Fill a glass with ice, pour in 2–4 tablespoons of ginger syrup (depending on how strong you want it), and top with chilled club soda.

Garnish and Serve: Stir gently, garnish with lemon slices, and enjoy immediately.
