🥕 Ingredients (Makes 4 Cheeseburgers)
  • 1½ lbs ground beef (80/20 for juicy patties)
  • Kosher salt & black pepper
  • 4 slices American cheese (or cheddar, if you prefer)
  • 4 burger buns (classic white or brioche)
  • 4 tbsp mayo or burger sauce (optional)
  • Lettuce leaves
  • Tomato slices
  • Red onion slices
  • Dill pickle chips
  • Ketchup & mustard (optional)

🍲 Instructions

Make the Patties:

  • Divide the ground beef into 4 equal portions (about 6 oz each). Gently shape into patties about ¾ inch thick.
  • Press a small dimple in the center of each to prevent puffing up while cooking. Season both sides generously with salt and pepper.

Fire Up the Grill (or Skillet):

  • Preheat grill or cast-iron skillet over medium-high heat. Lightly oil the grates or skillet.
  • Cook patties for about 3–4 minutes per side, flipping once, until desired doneness.

Add Cheese:

  • Place a slice of cheese on each patty during the last minute of cooking. Cover the grill or pan briefly to melt.

Toast the Buns:
