Dense, creamy, and irresistibly rich—New York-Style Cheesecake is the gold standard of classic American desserts. With its signature tang from cream cheese and a buttery graham cracker crust, it’s the perfect sweet ending to any special occasion or celebration.

🍴 Ingredients (Serves 4)

For the Crust:

  • 1½ cups graham cracker crumbs
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, melted

For the Filling:

  • 4 (8 oz) packages cream cheese, softened
  • 1¼ cups granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 4 large eggs
  • 2/3 cup sour cream
  • 2/3 cup heavy cream

  • Fresh strawberries, berry compote, or whipped cream

Make the Crust:
Preheat the oven to 325°F (163°C). Combine graham cracker crumbs, sugar, and melted butter in a bowl. Press the mixture firmly into the bottom of a 9-inch springform pan. Bake for 10 minutes. Set aside to cool.

Prepare the Filling:
In a large mixing bowl, beat the cream cheese until smooth. Add sugar and vanilla, and beat until fully incorporated. Add eggs one at a time, mixing just until blended. Stir in sour cream and heavy cream until the mixture is silky.

Assemble and Bake:
Pour the filling into the cooled crust. Tap the pan gently on the counter to release air bubbles. Bake in a water bath (place the pan inside a larger pan with hot water halfway up the sides) for 1 hour and 15 minutes, or until the center is almost set but still slightly jiggly.

Cool and Chill:
Turn off the oven, crack the door open, and let the cheesecake cool inside for 1 hour. Then refrigerate for at least 6 hours or overnight.

Serve:
Remove from springform pan, slice, and serve chilled. Top with fresh fruit or your favorite garnish.
