Hash Brown Casserole

🍴 Ingredients (Serves 4)

  • 1 (30 oz) bag frozen shredded hash browns, thawed
  • 1 can (10.5 oz) condensed cream of chicken soup
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • ½ cup melted butter
  • ½ cup finely chopped onion
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Optional topping: 1 cup crushed cornflakes or buttery cracker crumbs mixed with 2 tbsp melted butter

Preheat the Oven:
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish with nonstick spray or a bit of butter.

Mix the Base:
In a large bowl, combine the hash browns, cream of chicken soup, cheddar cheese, sour cream, melted butter, onion, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Stir until everything is evenly coated.

Transfer to Baking Dish:
Spread the mixture evenly into the prepared baking dish, smoothing the top with a spatula.
